The Neon is a powerful, feature-rich single board computer based on the Marvell PXA255 processor. In order to maximize video performance, the Neon has an on-board Silicon Motion graphics controller which allows the Neon to display resolutions up to 1280x1024. The form factor of the Neon was driven by the Hitachi 6.2" panel used in casino player tracking. The Neon fits directly behind a Hitachi 6.2" panel and can interface with this display directly. The Neon can also interface with standard monitors with a standard RGB connector (HD15). Another important feature of the Neon is 4 or 5 wire resistive touch screen support. With multiple serial ports and GPIO support, the Neon can interface with a multitude of devices. The board also contains other important features such as USB 1.1 (both master and slave), stereo audio, and on-board 10/100 Ethernet. The Neon family of boards have many accessories that are available which makes it an even more attractive solution. We have designed many daughter boards that interface with the Neon to expand the number of potential applications for the board. |
